In part one, I discussed ways to make connections to the 944 engine for troubleshooting and diagnostics. This time I will go over some of the other tools and equipment I've found helpful when diagnosing issues and performing service on Gretchen.

Feb 8-12, 2020 - What I really wanted to do was replace all of Gretchen's engine bay hardware with new yellow zinc plated pieces, and have all the sheet metal parts re-plated in the original zinc chromate finish. But, being on a limited budget, that's not exactly what I did.

January 1, 2020 - I realize that two consecutive blog posts focused on cleaning a greasy engine is not very interesting to read about, so I'll try to be as brief as possible here. Being tedious, repetitive work, I found I often put myself  "on autopilot" as I cleaned.
